Megan E. Jordan
Since joining Hecht & Associates in 2010, Megan Jordan has become a valuable asset and a significant contributor to the firm’s growth and success. She is currently employed as Mr. Hecht’s assistant and paralegal. Her dedication to servicing clients, passion for advocacy, communication skills, and familiarity with the justice system, has proven to be an indispensible part of the firm’s litigation team. Megan’s particular legal interests are custody, divorce, and criminal defense.
Prior to her employment at Hecht & Associates, Megan attended the University of San Francisco where she concentrated on criminal justice and legal studies. While at the University of San Francisco, Megan worked at San Quinton State Prison where she assisted in developing and implementing a curriculum designed to reduce recidivism in California through education and sociological training.
After graduating from the University of San Francisco, Megan worked at the San Francisco Office of the Public Defender as a Senior Paralegal in the felony unit. While working for the Office of the Public Defender, Megan assisted in the defense of several First Degree Murder and high profile cases. Following her work with the Public Defender, Megan worked for a private civil litigation law firm in Berkeley, California as a Litigation Management Specialist. In this capacity, Megan was responsible for managing a high volume of civil cases from inception to trial or settlement. Megan has always thrived on client contact, hard work, and success.
Megan is originally from Fairbanks, Alaska.
